David celebrated his first birthday this past March, and I had the absolute joy of capturing this special milestone for his family. His mom envisioned a simple, timeless session with a neutral color palette, allowing all of the focus to remain on David’s personality and sweet expressions.
From the moment he arrived, David was full of curiosity and energy. Like many one-year-olds, sitting still wasn’t exactly on his agenda! Instead of forcing poses, we embraced his playful nature and documented the genuine smiles, laughter, and expressions that make this stage of life so memorable.
One of my favorite things about milestone sessions is preserving the little details that change so quickly during the first year—the chubby cheeks, tiny toes, toothy grins, and unique personality traits that parents never want to forget. At one year old, children are beginning to explore the world around them, making every session completely unique.
For David’s session, we kept the styling minimal and classic. The neutral backdrop and simple setup created a clean, timeless look that will complement any home décor for years to come. By removing distractions, the images focus entirely on what matters most—celebrating this exciting milestone and preserving these memories for his family.
