There’s nothing quite like a Michigan summer evening, especially when it’s spent surrounded by blooms at Ankley Family Farm. This senior session was a perfect blend of sunshine, flowers, and personality. From start to finish, it felt like we were walking through a storybook—complete with white picket fences, a vintage truck, and endless rows of cheerful sunflowers.

It was actually my first time photographing at this location, and I was completely in love from the moment I arrived. Every corner of the farm offered a stunning, picture-perfect backdrop. The warm welcome from the owners and the peaceful atmosphere made it an instant favorite—and I can’t wait to go back!

This sweet senior brought such a calm, confident energy to her shoot. She was a natural in front of the camera, moving from playful poses in the garden to elegant twirls in the sunflower path with ease. Her outfit choices—from soft pastels to classic denim—fit perfectly with the farm’s relaxed, rustic charm.

One of my favorite spots from the session was the cozy green velvet couch nestled right in the middle of the sunflowers. It added a touch of whimsy to the shoot and gave us some seriously dreamy portraits. We also took advantage of the wildflower fields and vintage pickup truck for a variety of vibrant, summery looks.

As the sun dipped lower in the sky, the golden hour light wrapped around her like a hug—highlighting her features and giving every image a magical glow. This session was such a beautiful way to capture the excitement of senior year, and I’m so excited for all the amazing things she has ahead.
